The weekly “Friday Fest” in Lake Waccamaw will start for the summer on May 10. The event is held at McNeill’s Pier, located at 600 Canal Cove Road. Sponsored by the Lake Waccamaw Depot Museum, those interested are invited to bring a covered dish and enjoy dining at the lake side. Donations will be accepted, and divided between the Rube McCray Library and the Depot Museum. Social time starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by supper at 7 p.m. For more information, call the Depot office at 910-646-1992. Dress casual, bring a friend, and come join the fun!
